What Ledger21 is
Ledger21 is a free web directory — a systematic record of working websites, kept column by column across twenty-two sections. Think of it as a ledger for the open web: 831 entries filed by hand, each one checked before it made the record.
How entries are filed
Every listing is filed individually. A site is submitted, checked for an active destination, assigned to the column that fits it, and entered into the record. No algorithm makes the call — a person does. Entries that go offline are periodically removed from the column.
Adding your own site
You can submit your site to Ledger21 at no cost. Go to the submission page, enter your URL, and choose the column it belongs in. Once reviewed, it will be filed. There is no charge now and there will not be one — the record is free to browse and free to join.
What Ledger21 does not do
There are no tracking scripts, no promoted placements, and no algorithmic ranking. The ledger is ordered by when entries were filed, not by who paid. It is a directory in the original sense: a list you can read and trust.
